Throughout the year, Smiths Lane hosts an exciting mix of activities and programs, including social gatherings, cultural events and entertainment providing more opportunities for neighbours to meet and develop a sense of community.

Smiths Social Space
The Smiths Lane Hub has a dedicated community space for residents and local families, offering a diverse range of activities for all ages and interests. From educational workshops, social gatherings and playgroup, the Smiths Lane Hub is always buzzing with life. Smiths Social Space is also available for use by community groups.
Meet Your Community Team
Our Community Development team, including a dedicated Smiths Lane Community Development Officer, is your go-to for all things community here at Smiths Lane. We’re here to help you connect with your neighbours and support you to get involved. We work with residents, community groups and other stakeholders, like local schools, to help foster a thriving community through events, activities, community spaces and connecting residents – ensuring everyone feels welcome and a sense of belonging.

Get Involved
Smiths Lane has a number of community groups that you can get involved in. The Smiths Lane Community Group is a passionate group of residents helping to shape the future of this vibrant community. These dedicated volunteers work together with Mirvac, residents and other community partners to organise events and initiatives for their community to come together, participate and enhance community wellbeing. There’s also a playgroup and retirees social group who meet weekly in the Smiths Lane Hub.

SMITHS LANE CRAFT CIRCLE

Introducing, Smiths Lane Craft Circle. An opportunity to work on your crafty projects with like-minded folk. Whether you're into quilting or crochet and everything in-between, all projects and skill levels are welcome. BYO project and supplies. We'll provide tea, coffee and biscuits to fuel your creativity. Runs fortnightly on Fridays 5-7pm (commencing Friday 6th March). Please contact community.smithslane@mirvac.com to register your interest.

SMITHS LANE OVER 50'S SOCIAL GROUP

This is an opportunity to catch-up with neighbours and make new friends at an informal weekly meet-up open to all every Thursday (during school term) 12.30-2.30pm in the Social Space on Level 1, no bookings required.
